When David passed on we learned some things that we didn’t know about him. Oh, we knew he did the right thing for the right reason and that he had fun while doing it. But, there were a lot of specific things he did we learned only after he left us … the little things that filled out his character.
One of those things was buying and replacing tattered U.S. Flags. Stories came to us about the times he would show up at somebody’s doorstep with a new Flag to replace an old tattered one flying from the house or the flagpole in front of the home.
David loved what the Flag stands for and he respected its great history. We found a large box full of tattered flags in David’s garage. He was waiting for an opportunity to properly destroy them.
The Foundation would like to continue that legacy. We encourage you to let us know about any tattered flags you see in Indianapolis. Use the comment section below or notify us on FB – The David S. Moore Foundation.
